This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear a warrant, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the sheriff's warrant unit or the issuing court directly.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Here's where to route the questions most people ask about in Harris County:
- Whether a warrant exists: use the HCSO warrant search for its limited county coverage and call Criminal Warrants at 713-755-6055 to confirm an HCSO file; its daily list is not a live all-courts index
- A bench warrant for a missed court date: contact the court that set the case. Harris County has sixteen JP courts plus municipal courts, and the city or JP clerk can confirm its own docket
- Resolving or clearing a warrant: ask the issuing court what it requires and consider speaking with a licensed Texas attorney about a recall, appearance, or bond
- An arrest warrant tied to a charge: the court named in the case controls the charge and bond; HCSO Criminal Warrants can confirm only its own serving file
For a county warrant-status question, contact HCSO Criminal Warrants at 713-755-6055. HCSO's 24-hour Bonding Desk is at 700 N. San Jacinto Street in Houston for eligible booking and bond questions; it is a separate service route. The Harris County District Clerk's criminal customer service is at 1201 Franklin Street, Suite 3254, phone 832-927-5900. Houston Municipal Court questions go to 713-247-5479.
